Daniels Construction currently is working on a bridge replacement project in Newport, NH. Last week Daniels removed the old bridge. The bridge was removed by using tensioned cables, a crane, and two excavators. Daniels tensions eight cables underneath the bridge then had a crane pick up one side of the bridge and place it on the cables. From there we had two excavators slowly drag the bridge accross the river. Once the bridge was across the river we then dismantled it piece by piece.
Daniels Construction will be constructing a new bridge this summer.

Daniels Construction is pleased to share with you this Throwback from Fall of 2018. Working on a Dam project in Claremont, NH.
During this project crews had to come in and use chipping hammers to chip away areas of the dam that needed to be repaired.
The photo below shows crews pouring concrete to refinish the from off the dam.

Last week Daniels Construction poured a 72 cubic yard concrete slab in Ascutney, Vermont. This slab is for our Substation expansion project. Daniels Construction used a pump truck to pump concrete to all sides of the slab. We also had 7 concrete truck deliver the concrete. The video below shows the process of pouring a slab this big.

Last Friday Daniels Construction Poured a New Bridge Deck in Newfane, Vermont. Daniels Construction used a pump truck to pump 7 loads of concrete onto the bridge deck. In the video below you can see the deck being poured, finished, and covered.

This past summer Daniels Construction worked on a Substation in Brattleboro, Vermont. This job included taking out old material, building a new 180 ft long concrete retaining wall, pouring new concrete pads & structures, and placing new stone.
The picture below shows Daniels Construction working on getting the concrete wall installed.
