Long day today - first jury trial in Athens Muni since the pandemic. It was hard for everyone with all the masks, shields, and plexiglass.
Happy to say that justice was served. “Not Guilty.”
Took this pic right before I went in for the day.

IRS deposits stimulus checks: How to work out your coronavirus payment schedule
For personal reasons, and after much deliberation, I have decided to step away from private practice and have accepted a full-time Magistrate’s position with the Hocking County Court of Common Pleas. I am starting November 1, 2020. The hardest part of this decision was knowing that in taking this new job, there was no way I would be able to finish some of my clients’ cases. If your case is one that I can't finish, I have probably talked to you already. If not, please reach out to me.
I have sought out and made arrangements, a capable attorney who is ready to fight for my past and current clients. His name is Scott Petroff. He has agreed to take over operations going forward.
I will retain electronic copies of files for seven (7) years. If anyone wishes to receive a hard copy, please let me know, and I will make that available.
Thank you for trusting me with your case.
Again. Closing the office here shortly. Please contact me at 740-593-5591 if you have any questions. I have an attorney who is taking most of my cases over, but we all need to make arrangements to ensure a smooth transition.
