Individuals struggling with mental health issues, physical disabilities, non-COVID-related health conditions, and substance use still endure these conditions in this time of quarantine and lockdown. The reality of drug rehab is often clouded with misconceptions. This is especially true when individuals who are addicted to drugs or alcohol fail to acknowledge that they need the help of a professional addiction treatment center. As a result, of the twenty-one million Americans battling addiction, few will get the help they need. By having a frank discussion about the reasons to attend a drug rehab in the Bay Area like New Bridge Foundation, we aim to dispel some of those myths in the hope of encouraging individuals struggling with addiction to get the help they need. It is a fact that veterans are more likely than members of the general population to have problems with substance use. Although this often involves the use of alcohol and illicit drugs, there has also been a surge in the use and abuse of prescription medication. Because these types of drugs can be legally prescribed by medical professionals, many veterans do not know that they pose the same risk that illegal drugs do.
