New Editions once again participated in The Arc of Northern Virginia's Team Challenge. This year's #RaceForInclusion virtual team included (pictured below in our Arc of Northern Virginia team shirts) Kristen Smith-O'Connor, Maggie Sullivan, Mattito Watson, Raphael Gaeta, Shelia Newman, and (not pictured) Jane Rath, Marina Huggins, Kat Becker, Cherie Takemoto, and Stewart Kelsey.

New Editions' Fall Walking Competition is in its final week! Eleven teams (47 employees) are participating. After just two weeks, these teams had walked over 900 miles. On Wednesday, October 28th, New Editions supported the Administration for Community Living (ACL) National Disability Employment Awareness Month Virtual Event (NDEAM) through our Management Support contract with the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). The theme of the event was “Employment Innovation: Improving Work for People with Disabilities” and the agenda highlighted the past, present and future of research to advance employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The event featured remarks from ACL Administrator Lance Robertson, NIDILRR Acting Director Kristi Hill, and presentations and panel discussions with NIDILRR grantees. Each year, New Editions has a Holiday Party to announce the Employee of the Year and to recognize employees who have made outstanding contributions to the company. This year's Employee of the Year is Kristen Smith-O'Connor. Kristen has been with the company for nine years and works on numerous projects. Kristen is versatile and a natural leader. She is also forward-thinking, continually identifying ways to improve processes. Clients love Kristen. We also identify Outstanding Contributors and this year they are: Megan Hagberg, Stewart Kelsey, Jessica Morris, Adham Saad, and Douglas Zak. Congratulations and thank you to all.
