New Transitions, Inc. is a non-profit organization, that provides both a transitional living facility and a community outpatient treatment center, for women with alcohol and drug issues. The recovery residence is staffed 24/7 with a house manager, Barbara Dillon, who enables everything from food on our table to treatment sessions with Dr Slate or consultations with Dr Ruzzo. The treatment team at New Transitions has gone to great lengths to make our residence a very safe, comfortable, and affordable, sober living environment. Each resident works with a member of our intake team to design an individualized treatment plan, designed to help you succeed. Our program involves both individual and group counseling for addiction support / recovery and co-occurring mental disorders resulting from trauma, violence, abuse, depression, and anxieties. Our members are employed or volunteer in community service if they are on SSI. If a member is not employed upon making application to our program, our policy of paying the first month's rent in advance (which covers treatment, rent, tv, and food), enables time to obtain employment for the payment of weekly rent. New Transitions does not accept insurance; however, we find our affordable self-pay rates to be comparable to other programs
