June 28, 1920 photo of Arthur Lyon and R. Clapp fencing at Travers Island to determine who will represent the United Sates at the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp. Travers Island was purchased by the New York Athletic Club in 1888 as a second clubhouse. Mr. Lyon went on to compete in the games and helped the USA win bronze in the team foil competition.
