It's that time of year again! Cut a slice, add a scoop of ice cream on top, and enjoy—compliments of our own Kelsey Santo! 🍏 #ApplePieRecipe
INGREDIENTS: Crust: Pillsbury pie crusts (2 in a pack for top and bottom). Filling: 6 medium apples (preferably Granny Smith) peeled and cut into thin slices, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons butter.
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 425°F. Lay the first crust into a pie pan and fill with pie filling. Lay the second crust over the top and seal the edges with a knife, making sure to connect both pie crusts together. Cut any desired design into the top of the pie crust for ventilation. Whisk an egg and spread it all over the top of the pie crust. Place the pie in the oven for 20 minutes. Take it out, apply aluminum foil over the crust of the pie to make sure it doesn’t burn, and put it back into the oven for another 20 minutes. Take it out and let it sit to cool off.
