We're highlighting our 2020 Best of Small Business winners! Throughout the week, we will feature each of our winners and share a little bit more about them.
Niffer's Place, known as just Niffer’s to locals, is an iconic Auburn eatery that was established in July of 1991 by former Auburn University swimmer Keely Beasecker.
While Niffer’s is a small business, the menu and personality of the restaurant is large and full of life. From the famous corn nuggets, fishbowl drinks, the Gus Bus burger and more, there is something for everyone at Niffer’s.
Niffer’s is funky and eccentric inside but with good reasoning. When Beasecker first started her career in the restaurant industry, she would see people on first dates and families at dinners not talking at the table.
“I always thought if I ever have a restaurant, I am going to put so much stuff in that restaurant to spark conversation at a table,” Beasecker said. “That was my goal when I opened up Niffer’s. When you went in there and sat at a table, it sparked conversation.”
