🛹Children and adolescents love to go fast.
Kids who are skateboarding or bike riding should always wear helmets and appropriate protective gear such as need and elbow pads.
For motorized activity vehicles, such as ATVs and Go-Carts, drivers and passengers should taught how to drive safely as well as required wear protective safety gear. In addition, these recreational vehicles should not be ridden on paved streets or the shoulder of the road. Keep the rides on designated trails and at safe speeds.

“It’s difficult for them. And so what I usually tell people, what I recommend for my families is, let’s start doing some fun stuff inside and outside the home in terms of exploring outdoors. So if that means going to the park in a stroller, taking them outside the house for storytime underneath a tree, start playing with mud like we used to do when we were kids. Do little adventure trips. Collect sticks and then mix it with playdough and do some things like that..."

👶 Always put your baby to bed on their backs
👶 Use a crib with a firm mattress
👶 Nothing in the crib except your baby – no blankets, bumper pads or pillows
👶 Do not overdress or overheat your baby
👶 No smoking

If you do not have a machine or your child continues to have difficulty breathing, please go to the ER.

It’s National Women Physicians Day!
Today marks the 199th birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to obtain a medical degree in the United States in 1849. She championed the participation of women in the medical profession and ultimately opened her own medical college for women. Join us in celebrating her achievements and the more than 60 female physicians including clinicians, hospitalists and residents who are an integral part of
Infirmary Health along with the many, many others caring for patients across our community.
We are now offering rapid COVID tests Monday -Friday, 1pm until closing, and Saturday, 9am-11 am,for patients with symptoms. This is in addition to send out PCR testing. Call for an appointment.
The Infirmary Health COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center is now scheduling appointments for the following individuals:
