Kunal Patel, MD, is a cardiologist and varicose vein specialist at NJ Cardiovascular Institute in Newark and Secaucus, New Jersey. Dr. Patel is known for his friendly demeanor and personalized care, treating each patient like a member of his own family.
After earning his medical degree at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Antigua and Barbuda, Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, through Seton Hall University of School of Health and Medical Sciences in Nutley, New Jersey.
He then went on to participate in a noninvasive fellowship in cardiovascular disease research at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey, also through Seton Hall University of Health and Medical Sciences. To round out his training, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.
Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Patel is board certified in five medical specialties, including cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular interpretation. He’s also a member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Patel believes in the power of prevention and works diligently with his patients to help them improve their heart health and prevent more serious complications.
