Although this is an older news report, this is still a prevalent issue! Within the last few weeks we have received numerous calls about puppy scammers. Please be cautious when making the decision to purchase a puppy via the internet, and always remember to check rescues and shelters. 🙂 https://www.wbaltv.com/article/red-flags-to-watch-for-to-avoid-scams-when-adopting-puppies/32650351 WBALTV.COM Red flags to watch for to avoid scams when adopting puppies
"Because of you, love is unleashed every single day. Because of you, empathy refuses to be caged. Because of you, our best friends are alive and thriving" Please join us in celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week! Our superheroes have been on the front lines during COVID-19 and did not stop when the world did. Through this pandemic, we've watched them gracefully adapt to the new normal of their already stressful jobs. Adhering to board recommendations led to operating curbside in masks all summer and experiencing more negativity than we've seen in our 2+ decades serving the community. Despite this, they've kept their kind-hearted natures in making sure our furry friends felt safe while they are away from you. THANK YOU for your passion and dedication to do what you are called to, and love to, do. It is our honor to work alongside you. A Poem for the Veterinary Community
Today is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day! Our Medical Director, Dr. Gostyla, is very passionate about addressing pet obesity because this under-recognized disease has become so much more prevalent in our society in recent years. Many people think their obese pet is "cute" or their inactive pet is just "lazy". Owners do not recognize the negative health implications that obesity has on a pet. These negative implications include an increased risk of diabetes mellitus, respiratory compromise, and increased risk of osteoarthritis, inactivity, and depression. Obesity is a lifelong disease. Our knowledgeable veterinarians want to work with you to create a weight management plan for your pet that will be successful and sustainable. Most importantly, we want to create a plan that will greatly improve your pet's quality of life! Did you know nearly 56% of dogs are overweight? And nearly 60% of cats! More than 75% of these pet's obesity goes unmanaged. Contact us today if you have any weight-relate concerns about your pet!
