A humongous thank you to everyone who brought in donations for the Dorothy Day Food Pantry. Together we donated over 100 lbs of food items in addition to monetary donations.
The staff at Dorothy Day Food Pantry was extremely grateful. They said the past few months they have experienced record breaking numbers of people and families needing help. We will be keeping our donation bucket in our waiting area for anyone who would like to help with donations.

From Tuesday, 1/19/2021: 5:30 PM, on my way home from work. What an amazing sunset. A sign of brighter days to come!
Today was the day.....I got my 1st dose of the vaccine.
I have had some concerns and apprehension about receiving the vaccine. After prayer, discussions with my family and some research, I decided it was in my best interest to get the vaccine. We will all have our own personal feelings about why we should or should not get the vaccine. There are concerns about side effects, lack of long term research, etc. There are also concerns about Covid and long term effects of the virus. And then, there is "I just want to get back to living my life". I can truly say, pandemic or not, I have a great life!!!😊 A huge part of my life is taking care of all of you. That is the main reason I chose to get the vaccine. (I will also be happy when I can eat out at a restaurant again or have a games night with friends-not virtual). My choice is my choice and your choice is your choice. We all need to respect each other's opinions, reasons and decisions regarding the vaccine and MANY other things. Make the choice that is best for you and your health!
