On March 18, we learned one of our employees at our Roosevelt Field store has tested positive for COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). This employee is in quarantine at home and we’re in regular communication to ensure they have the support they need. The employee hasn’t been in our store since Sunday, March 15.
The health and safety of our employees, customers and community is our top priority. While our stores have been temporarily closed since March 17, as soon as we learned about the diagnosis, we took immediate steps to help prevent the potential spread of the illness, including a thorough deep clean of our store. We’ve reached out to our employees and want to ensure you are informed as well.
PHAC recommends people who may have been exposed to COVID-19 contact their healthcare provider immediately. More information can be found on the PHAC website.
