Last month, the City of Dallas waited until three days before Young Americans for Liberty was to hold a major conference. Had the City canceled the conference a week prior, YAL would have had a $10k loss, but by waiting until three days before its start, YAL lost $160k. City officials were agreeing to the safety protocols as late as the Friday before the event.
