Meet Stephanie and Rachel. They are certified athletic trainers for Merrillville High School.
An athletic trainer is the first responder on the field when an athlete gets injured. They specialize in injury prevention and treatment. Also they are responsible to decide when an injury needs medical attention. Athletic trainers and orthopaedics surgeons work together in the athlete’s circle of care. #mvsc #mhspiratefball #merrillvillemhs

Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive approach to the hip in order to repair a torn labrum. The procedure might require shaving a bony overgrowth in the femoral head that produces impingement with hip flexion. A special table is used for patient positioning. Look at the screen to see the repaired labrum.
