As residents and local business owners, sometimes we miss important updates, friendly reminders, and tips from the city to help us all stay safe, especially with the pandemic COVID-19 virus spreading. Here's a local water notice for today!
Water Shut-Off Notice
Forsyth County water system repairs will be taking place today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, between 9:00 am-4:00 pm.
There is potential for customers to experience discolored water and/or fluctuation of water pressure in surrounding areas.
It's been recommended that you:
1. Store an adequate supply of water for cooking and drinking
2. Turn water heater circuit breaker to the off position. If you use gas, contact your gas company for additional questions.
3. Avoid opening any faucets or flushing any toilets during this time. This helps minimize air in your systems.
4. If water is discolored after your service has been restored, flush your lines through a bathtub faucet first for a short time. If it doesn't clear up within a reasonable time, contact the city at 336-727-8800
