Getting a flu vaccine during 2020-2021 is more important than ever because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Flu vaccination is especially important for people who are at high risk for developing serious flu complications, many of whom are also at high risk for COVID-19.
According to the CDC, those individuals are adults 65 years of age and older as well as adults with Chronic Health Conditions.

The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency need for blood. You can help by donating blood at our drive on Thursday, September 24 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
All donors will receive a COVID-19 antibody test, provided by the American Red Cross; results delivered via Red Cross Mobile App. Donors will also receive a $5 Northside Pharmacy gift card.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 24th! We have teamed up with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department and Muskingum Behavioral Health to host a Take Back event on October 24th from 10am to 2pm at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department.
Accepted: Prescription and over-the-counter tablets, capsules, and liquid dosage. Intra-venous solutions, injectables, and needles.
NOT Accepted: Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine.
This program is free and anonymous. Attendees may leave medications in original containers, but it is not necessary. Personal information will be cut off the original containers and destroyed.
If you are unable to attend this event, you can bring your prescription medications to our Bell Street, Somerset, or Cambridge pharmacies during regular business hours and dispose of them in our MedSafe kiosks.

Northside Pharmacies have been approved as COVID-19 vaccine administration sites by the Ohio Department of Health. We have been taking steps to ensure we’re ready to administer the vaccines once they become available. We are in progress of installing refrigerator/freezer units for vaccine storage and have also been working with our pharmacy staff to ensure they are properly trained on the storage, handling, and administration of these vaccines.
