Dr. Joseph Ricotta, of Northside Vascular Surgery is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Ricotta has gained vast knowledge and experience working at the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic as well as other national leading vascular surgery institutes. He now brings this expertise to Northside Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute.
With extensive skill in aortic aneurysm repair, Dr. Ricotta is the first and only surgeon in the United States with FDA IDE approval to create and implant custom modified endografts for high risk patients with thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms. In addition to providing the full spectrum of vascular and endovascular services, Dr. Ricotta brings his experience in clinical research trials based on years as a national and international participant.
Vascular Services
Dr. Ricotta is an expert at diagnosing and treating a wide range of vascular disorders. Northside Vascular Surgery offers an office-based full spectrum vascular laboratory that provides ultrasound, duplex, and Doppler flow studies for arteries and veins. Treatment of vascular disease may include angiography, angioplasty, and/or stenting or surgical procedures to any and all of the blood vessels in the body. Benefits to patients include prompt access to diagnostic testing as well as consultation with a vascular specialist who performs both open surgery and minimally invasive endovascular procedures.
