As the veterinary class of 2020 arrives at graduation, they’re facing the disappointment of no graduation ceremony. My friend and colleague Dr. Andy Roark decided to change that!
When he came up with the plans for an online virtual graduation on May 3, he hoped that some graduates would want to participate and that their families would like to attend. He had no idea how big the response would be.
There are now graduates from every veterinary school in the United States and Canada registered, as well as many schools in the United Kingdom and Australia. The response has been tremendous.
Now he wants their friends, families, and everyone who supports veterinary students to be part of the fun!
There’s a group of wonderful and inspiring commencement speakers, live music from graduating veterinary student and internet personality (soon-to-be) Dr. Trusten Moore, a photo gallery of favorite vet school pics from graduates all over the world, real-time toasts from parents and friends, and the largest virtual veterinary round of applause any of us has ever heard of.
This graduation is free to everyone. Please register and celebrate the class of 2020, or just to take part in something that the veterinary community all around the world will be participating in.
Date: May 3rd, 5 pm EST/2 pm PST
Cost: There is no fee to graduates, universities or guests
