Mary Kay Chadwick, registered radiology technologist, Norton Brownsboro Hospital, is celebrating her 40th anniversary with Norton Healthcare. Mary Kay has been in radiology for 35 years — 24 years at Suburban Hospital (now Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital) and 11 years at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was named employee of the month and employee of the year at then-Suburban, and technologist of the year at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She said one of the best changes she’s seen in radiology has been going digital, because it meant they didn’t have to carry heavy plates and film processors.
“I’ve made wonderful friends while working at Norton Healthcare,” Mary Kay said.

The expansion of Norton Brownsboro Hospital is complete, with 70 new patient beds, advancements in stroke and aneurysm capabilities, and a larger emergency department. Andrew N. Strausbaugh, chief administrative officer, Norton Brownsboro Hospital, and Douglas A. Winkelhake, division president, hospital operations, Norton Healthcare, celebrated the expansion this week.
“As a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Norton Brownsboro Hospital delivers the highest level of stroke care,” Strausbaugh said. “With the addition of our two new biplane rooms, now we will be able to deliver an even more advanced level of care, using the best technology for our patients.”
The expansion of Norton Brownsboro Hospital is complete, with 70 new patient beds — a 55% increase — advancements in stroke and aneurysm care capabilities and a larger emergency department.
