Can we get 100% of our flowers locally, year round? Of course not, especially if we want to be able to provide our customers with the variety of options we are known for. However, as much as possible we merchandise locally grown stems from Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Not only is it less expensive for you and us, we just think supporting other local businesses is the right thing to do!
Value and Customization
Are nationwide flower chains cheaper? Sometimes. Do you know how the math adds up when you choose one of these well-known brands? They wire out their orders to local florist shops to fulfill and deliver that order while taking up to 30% of the price of the order for themselves. That's 30% of flowers you are no longer getting in your arrangement! While their photos online may be beautiful, is that really what it looks like when it gets delivered to your loved one? Likely not. And have you ever tried to make a substitution with one of these chains because your dear Aunt Edith just can't stand lilies? Good luck with that.
