PennDOT approves self-driving vehicle testing in Lancaster County
I missed True or false on Tuesday!! So, I will do one today....True or false: Once you have renewed your drivers license, and you receive your camera card you have 60 days to use the camera card as a valid drivers license.
TRUE! Keeping this in mind, you may NOT use the camera card as a valid ID. It is valid to drive with only. You must go have your photo taken and receive your valid photo drivers license or PA ID card for valid identification credentials.
True of False: If your license plate is seized for having a suspension due to a lapse of insurance and the suspension is still active, you can apply for a new license plate for that same vehicle. FALSE. Because the suspension is still active, you can not apply for new registration until you satisfy PennDOTs restoration requirements. (Even if someone tells you that you can.)

All PennDOT driver license and photo centers will close this Thursday, Dec. 31, at 12:15 p.m. and remain closed this Friday, January 1, 2021, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services, including all forms, publications and driver training manuals, online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.pa.gov.
Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.
