October 4th-10th is Firefighters Week so today we paid our local heroes at Fire Station 13 a friendly visit but went not empty handed. We provided them with lunches prepared by our dietary staff. These public servants of our city deserve special recognition for the career they have chosen and the professionalism shown in doing so. Oak Grove Inn is sincerely grateful for their service!

Friday, the 8th was "Show and Tell Day". We asked residents to bring an item that is unique and tell the others about it. We had quite a variety of things and learned alot in the process. The following are the items that were shared.
Monday, January 4th was a very special day of recognition for one of our assisted living residents. Ms. Lattal was honored by City, State, and local officials, and also veteran's groups and the American Red Cross for her birthday (which was Dec. 28th) in that she turned 101 yrs. old. Ms. Lattal also served in the military where she was a member of the Women's Army Corp.
She was so humbled by all the acts of kindness shown and for the great turn out that participated in her drive-by birthday parade that was organized for her.
Ms. Lattal, you're a blessing to all who know you!
Let's all start out writing our own story and hopefully we'll all come out with a happy ending.
2020 is gone! Happy New Year 2021!!!

What better way to chase away those winter blahs by having something fun and entertaining. January 28th is National Clothes Clashing Day and we challenged our residents to be creative and give it their best shot. Here you go.....
