About David J. Oberliesen and Clark H. Henderson

David is a native of Detroit, MI and received his Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University while triple majoring in Political Science, Philosophy, and Sociology (2000). He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2003 where he received the Book Award in Criminal Procedure: Police Practices. After nearly three years as a prosecutor in Sarasota and Gainesville, FL, David left for private practice in Northwest Florida in 2006. While he has primarily served his clients in criminal defense and family law matters, he has also practiced in the fields of civil litigation, probate and guardianship law. During his career, David has conducted over 30 jury trials and has handled criminal cases ranging from DUI to Capital Murder.

David is currently the President of the Okaloosa-Walton Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) and also serves on the statewide FACDL Board of Directors. In 2011, he was elected to the executive board of the Okaloosa Bar Association (OBA) and he currently serves as the board’s President. In 2011, OBA honored David as the Young Lawyer of the Year.

In addition to his professional involvement, David is also very involved in our local community. He is on the Board of the Emerald Coast Foundation and is an active member of the All Sports Association. He also supports our local military by acting as the 2013- 2014 Honorary Commander for the 33rd Operations Support Squadron on Eglin Air Force Base. He has provided pro bono legal service to veterans at the local Homeless Veteran Stand Down, for which he also has served on the planning committee from 2009-2013. David is also a member of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and is a member of its Military Affairs Committee.

Clark H. Henderson, originally from Waynesboro, Mississippi, is a 2007 graduate of the University of South Alabama and a 2011 graduate of the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama. During law school Clark interned at the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and with the Honorable Laura Petro, 10th Judicial Circuit, Criminal Division. He practiced in Birmingham, Alabama before being admitted to the Florida Bar. Clark is licensed to practice in both Florida and Alabama.
