On December 3, 2020 Bev Thomson, Norma Ames, Carla Jones and Mary Torres along with the Managers from Ocean Subaru of Fullerton Glenn Moya and Michelle Valenzuela had the pleasure of presenting a check for $2,000 to Mara James, Founder and CEO of Extraordinary Lives Foundation (ELF) and Rachel Popplewell, Vice Chairman and Mascot "Piggie Bear".
This Foundation is dedicated to supporting and improving Children's mental health and wellness. Mara created the character of Piggie Bear and published the book "The Power of Piggie Bear and produced an adorable Piggie Bear stuffed animal to help give at risk children the extra TLC they need during challenging times.
These books and "Piggie Bears" will be given to children in hospitals, foster care, homeless and military families.

Woman's Club of Fullerton President Mary Torres, met with Rikki Bains, Executive Director, and Luis Regalado from the Fullerton YMCA to present a check for $1,000 to the YMCA on February 10, 2021.
This check will be used to purchase equipment such as dumbbells, chairs, bands, balls, and aqua dumbbells for their Active Older Adults. The Fullerton Family YMCA serves over 3,000 older adults. The equipment will serve the purpose of keeping their senior clients healthy.
Rikki expressed his thanks to the Woman's Club of Fullerton and Ocean Subaru of Fullerton@OceanSubaruFullerton for the support in continuing to help community members. Thank you Subaru for making this happen.

Womanβs Club Members Donna Edman and Paulette Chaffee and President Mary Torres met Stephanie Esquivel, who is a WCOF member in addition to being on staff of the Monkey Business Cafe on February 17, 2021. We met to present a check for $2,400.00 to the Hart Community Homes, a nonprofit agency serving foster youth and at risk young adults. www.hartcommunityhomes.org
Hart Community Homes have acquired an apartment unit to serve as transitional housing for former foster youth, ages 18-21. The youth who will live in the transitional housing will be able to gain paid job training and employment at Monkey Business CafΓ©, which is right next door. They will be within walking distance to Fullerton College, Fullerton Library and multiple community services.
The funds will be used to purchase bedding and linens, towels, curtains and kitchenware. There are four two-bedroom units to be furnished for 8 young men. The Monkey Business staff was very grateful for the donation; they thanked the Woman's Club of Fullerton and Ocean Subaru of Fullerton for this help in helping these young men. We can also help further by patronizing the Monkey Business CafΓ©, which is located on Lemon St. in Fullerton.
