Job summary
Support staff is responsible for assisting and carrying out a variety of clinical and program services. This person has an essential role in monitoring residents during the night to ensure clients are well.
Summary of essential job functions
• Arrives to all scheduled shifts on time to conduct shift change
• Conducts shift change
• Reviews emails and previous shift reports - Documents interaction, observations and interventions for each client
• Coordinates individualized treatment with case managers, therapist, fellow staff and supervisors
• Observes and monitors client’s behavior and intervenes when necessary ensuring client is following rules
• Conduct medication counts and audits
• Facilitates assigned groups, meetings and activities per schedule
• Facilitates morning routine - wake up, UAs, medications/vitals, chores
• Check drive sheet at the beginning of each shift to make sure clients are getting to appointment on time and adhering to schedule
• Consistency with carrying out rules of the program
• Ensure that empty bed(s) are ready for new clients at all times
• Conducts room searches on every shift
• Ensures client telephones are available during designated hours
• Orientation of new clients to house rules
• Conducts UA drug screen collection as scheduled, following appropriate procedures
• Ensure laundry and cleaning duty are completed on each shift
• Supervises self-administration of client medications (only after provided with appropriate training)
• Takes client vitals and temperature daily and records in system
• Ensures physical safety and security by conducting regular house checks
• Resolves difficulty with clients non-compliance with chores
• One-on-one supervision of at-risk clients (ACA risk, suicidal ideation, etc.)
• Filing and other miscellaneous administrative work
• Provides transportation and supervision of clients while on pass/appointments or group outing
• Ensure company vehicles are in proper driving condition and follows safe driving protocol
• Attends mandatory staff meeting and training as per Operations Supervisor and Management
Minimum requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic Computer skills i.e. internet, email, and Word
Graveyard (12am-8:30am)
Kipu knowledge, RADT-1, CPR & First Aid are a plus, but not a requirement.
Active drivers license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:
Clients are being monitored closely, vitals and temperature are taken three times a day. Sign-outs are on hold.
Prior to admissions: pre-screening process, once admitted, agree to receive COVID-19 testing.
