Good Morning OOPD Family,
We wanted to make sure we express our excitement to see you! All appointments that you previously scheduled are all set! We look forward to seeing you at that scheduled time. We will call/text/email you to remind you of those appointments. As it relates to appointments that we had to cancel in relation to Covid-19. We are working diligently to get those appointments rescheduled.
Please feel free to call us with any questions.
Again, we can't wait to see all of your smiling faces!!! 🙂
Good afternoon,
We are so excited that we will be re-opening on May 29th. We are excited to be able to see our patients ❤️

Dear Olde Orchard Pediatric Dentistry Family:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We have missed all your children’s smiling faces very much! During this time, we have been very busy updating ourselves on infection control, office procedures and the very latest information to protect our patients and our staff. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our office’s commitment to your child’s safety and oral health.
We wanted to let you know that we have missed all of you over the last two months. Unfortunately, we do not currently know for sure when we will be able to welcome all of your smiling faces back into our office for routine and "new normal" appointments. We did, however, want to share what we have been doing during the last nine weeks and update you all with our new policies and procedures to keep our patients, parents, and staff healthy.
Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. We follow the most recent recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members.
We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs, as we know many of you are anxious to get back into our office. During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff.
The day before a scheduled appointment, a member of our staff will call and confirm the appointment and ask a few pre-screening COVID-19 questions about your child. This must be completed before you arrive at the office. We will postpone treatment for any patient who has experienced or has been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days of the scheduled appointment date: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue.
We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments. Upon arrival at the office, call us before entering the office to let us know you have arrived. We will call or text you once the office is ready for you to enter. All patients will be allowed 1 parent to accompany them for cleaning appointments. We are asking that all children over the age of 8, have their parent or guardian wait in the lobby or car for all appointments other than cleanings. Any sedation appointment, a parent or guardian will now be asked to wait in the lobby during the procedure.
Unfortunately, at this time, no siblings will be allowed unless they also have an existing appointment. Every person over the age of 3 entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry. Please take your child’s temperature the morning of appointment. We will confirm no fever with a contactless thermometer upon your arrival, and you will once again be asked some pre-appointment Covid-19 screening questions about yourself and your child. We will postpone treatment for any patient who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days of the scheduled appointment date: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue. We expect all children and families to exhibit social distancing to the best of their abilities.
Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, charging stations, books, children’s toys, and so forth, since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. All chairs available for use in the waiting room have been marked to adhere to social distancing requirements. Clear plastic screens (sneeze guards) have been installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens. At this time, we are also disappointed that we are unable to dispense toys, stickers, toothbrushes, or toothpastes.
Our doctors and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE). This will include: Gowns, face shields, glasses, masks, hats, and gloves. Thank you for being part of our pediatric dental family. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends very soon.
With Warm Regards,
Swati Rastogi, D.D.S, M.S and Amy Maxwell D.D.S., M.S.
