As July 4th comes closer. Just a reminder to make sure to ask for your pet’s noise anxiety medications as soon as possible so you don’t get stuck in a bind AND that we will be closed this Saturday in observance of the holiday.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
We at Oly Cats Veterinary Hospital recognize that your pets are an important part of your family and you want to keep your family safe and healthy.
A key part of the veterinary oath is to protect and promote public health. We take that oath very seriously and given current events we believe that we have an obligation to do our part to stop the spread of coronavirus. In an effort to continue to provide care for our patients and protect our employees (we do have several that fall into the vulnerable categories) and clients we are working within the CDC’s guidelines to keep our client and staff healthy.
When you arrive at Oly Cats please call (360) 584-9901 from your car to speak to our customer service representatives. They will direct your appointment or need.
If you are here for a doctor appointment a technician or assistant will be out to gather your pet. The doctor will then call you to collect the history and your concerns. After which they will examine your pet and call you to discuss diagnostic and treatment recommendations. You will be checked out and your pet will be brought out to you. We are also still offering drop off appointments which you will drop your pet off during the day and the doctor will call you to discuss your pet in between procedures and other appointments.
If you are here to drop off a lab sample, pick up food or medication you will be served from your vehicle.
If you are ill we still ask that you have another person bring your pet to us or if it is non emergent that you reschedule.
The WSVMA and AVMA have also asked that you postpone wellness needs for now (puppies and kittens aside) to limit exposure.
Although earlier in the week we had been having clients wait in their car until a room was ready it was decided that it was difficult to practice social distancing in exam rooms especially with small dogs and cats. We know these changes are inconvenient. These are trying times for our entire community. We appreciate your understanding and that you can be patient with us as we navigate through this ever changing situation.

This week is very special, it is National Veterinary Technician week!! Although we try to thank these unsung heroes every day in our midst, we take this week out of the year to openly celebrate these amazing people who dedicate their lives to helping your animals. Please feel free to share your thanks on this post or in person when you are at the clinic. Thank you to our amazing crew of LVTs, Assistants, and Animal Care Professionals. Our hospital would not be possible without your hard work!

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and remind you that we will be closed tomorrow to spend time eating ourselves silly but back open our normal hours on Friday and Saturday.
Just a reminder our clinics will be closed 12/24 at noon through the weekend. Please plan ahead and Happy Holidays!

We are open today with a skeleton crew. The roads are not great with lots of stuck vehicles on side roads. We may close early depending on conditions and number of clients coming in. Please be safe, stay home if you can and call ahead before coming in.
