Opti-Care is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and doing business with caution. Our first priority is the health and safety of our clients and our staff.
--We will be operating under adjusted business hours over the coming weeks, and will refrain from conducting routine eye exams during this time unless absolutely necessary. These exact hours haven't been determined at this time, and could change day to day as the situation mandates.
--We will gladly process contact lens refill orders during this time; please call the office and leave a message or send an email to info@opti-care.com. Orders can be shipped directly to your home for a fee.
--If repairs are required, please call before you visit the office. We may ask that you wait outside while the repair is completed.
--We intend to avoid frame try-ons. If replacement eye wear is necessary, we will be glad to help you; please call before you visit the office. You can also visit https://www.framesdata.com/mfg/opti-care to access a virtual catalog with a wish list feature. Submit a list, and we can get some products ready for when you come in. Please note, some items may not be immediately available for try-on in the office.
--We will be limiting our patients to urgent and emergency exams, and when possible will be encouraging "curbside pickup" of prescription products.
--Upon notification that your order is ready for pickup, we will be taking payments over the phone to speed up the delivery process and help prevent the spread of germs.
--We are practicing frequent hand washing and efficiently cleaning all equipment, counters, and door handles between visitors. We have hand sanitizer available for your use, just ask
--In the event of an emergency outside of operating hours, Dr. Davis can be reached on the after hours number listed on our answering machine.
--Email will be monitored closely during this time and will be the easiest way to reach us for non-urgent requests/inquiries of any kind.

Beginning this week, our new permanent schedule goes into effect with minor changes to our operating procedures, detailed below.
We are requesting that all entering our office have an appointment; if your visit is urgent in nature, please call before you arrive to make sure you can be seen. This request applies to eyewear selection, product pickup, adjustments and repairs, as well as visits with Dr. Davis. This allows us time to clean between patients and ensure that our staff is available to assist you promptly and efficiently. At this posting, masks are required to be worn while in our office and we ask that you limit the number of people in your party to 2.
We are currently booking 4 weeks out for eye exams, while most other appointments can be accommodated within 24 hours. Call now if someone in your family will need an exam before the end of the summer!

Beginning Monday May 11th, Opti-Care will be extending our modified business hours to better serve you. We will be open and available Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, excluding Wednesdays when we will close at 1pm. We will remain closed on Saturdays until further notice. With the latest order from Governor Hogan, we are now opening our schedule for routine eye exams. Here are some things to consider when planning a visit to our office.
-Appointments are encouraged for eyewear selection, dispensing or repair. This will allow us to prepare for your visit and help to maintain safe social distancing. Please plan to arrive on time, but no more than 5 minutes early during this time.
-Call the office or text 410-205-6066 from the parking lot when you arrive for your appointment. We will let you know when we are ready for you
-Masks will be required for all patients at all times
-When possible, please limit the number of people in your party
Pursuant to the Executive Order of March 16, 2020 relating to various health care matters and in accordance with the guidance issued by MDH and posted on its website at http://coronavirus.maryland.gov, all providers of health care licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized under the Health Occupations Article shall perform only medical procedures that are critically necessary for the maintenance of health for a patient. All elective and non-urgent medical procedures and appointments shall cease effective at 5 p.m., Tuesday March 24, 2020 and shall not be performed for the duration of the catastrophic health emergency.
