Elliot Moscot, OD, the founder and CEO of Optometric Options, is a third-generation optometrist who comes from a family of innovative eye care professionals, including his grandfather, Hyam, who started one of the first optical businesses in the United States. Dr. Moscot has over 40 years of experience in performing eye exams, fitting glasses and contact lenses, and diagnosing and treating eye diseases in West Los Angeles.
Dr. Moscot completed his undergraduate studies in New York City at Brooklyn College in Flatbush, Brooklyn, before earning his doctor of optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry (formerly known as the Massachusetts College of Optometry) in Boston.
Dr. Moscot gained practical experience at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and Torfeh Hospital in Tehran, Iran. When the Iranian Revolution began in 1979, Dr. Moscot returned to New York City, where he continued to practice until he and his wife moved to Los Angeles and opened Optometric Options.
Throughout his career, Dr. Moscot has studied with leaders in optometry, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and practices that allow him to deliver outstanding eye care to his patients. His patients value Dr. Moscot’s attentive chairside manner and the personalized attention provides at his practice.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Moscot spends time with his wife and three teenage sons. He is also an avid mountaineer and is proud to have summited some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas, Andes, and the Alps.
