Orange County Children’s Dentistry is excited to announce the addition of an orthodontist, Dr. Peter Truong, to our practice.
Dr. Truong is a Southern California native and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Irvine and his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles. He later moved to Texas to complete a 3 year orthodontics specialty program at the Texas A&M Health Science Center - Baylor College of Dentistry earning his certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Setting standards of quality in orthodontic treatment, Dr. Truong is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. This certification is held by less than 30% of practicing orthodontists.
He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and various alumni associations and has also gone on mission trips to underserved countries like Mexico and Vietnam.
In his spare time, Dr. Truong enjoys watching and playing sports, yoga, photography, snowboarding, hiking, and traveling with his wife and 2 kids.
Fun fact about Dr. Truong is that he and Dr. Ruiz went to dental school together at UCLA. They both graduated as Bruins the same year (on the last photo you can see them on their graduation day 🎓). They are both excited to partner to provide the best care for your little treasures!

Dr. Ruiz received her 2nd dose of the Pzifer vaccine, and she jokingly reports she is feeling more energetic, has less fine lines and wrinkles and perhaps some weight loss 💁🏽♀️

Dr. Danielle Goodman was born and raised in Orange County. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Goodman went on to obtain a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Southern California, where she earned numerous awards for humanitarianism, ethics, and academic achievement. She then completed her advanced training as a pediatric dentist at the University of Southern California, where she was a pediatric dental resident at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
Dr. Goodman first discovered her passion for pediatric dentistry at the age of 14 and has always wanted to provide dental care to the children of Orange County. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Dental Association. She currently serves as the Chair of the Leadership Development Committee for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Goodman strives to create a positive dental experience for children of all ages. She values treating underserved communities both locally and abroad. Her other passions include traveling, exploring local hiking trails, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband (Zach) and her dog (Matcha).
