We received an email recently with this photo and the following message from a John H. in Panama City Beach, FL:
“Hi, My family owns and operates Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Panama City Beach, FL. About 30 years ago I found this ruler in the attic of one of our buildings that is from your business. I have been using it on my desk ever since! I just thought you may know how it got here. The former owners of the property were the Gullions and Powells. And a man named D.E. Johnson built the original property in the late 30’s. It is pretty old because the phone number listed on the ruler is 3-2124. I just thought today to look and see if you guys were still in business and wondered if there was a connection between H.M. Amirkhan and Laguna Beach Florida?”

My pet had an accident on my rug. What should I do?
It is critical to immediately absorb as much of the liquid as possible. Then apply a 50-50 solution of water and vinegar and blot – do not rub – the area with white tissue or white towels. Resist the temptation to use over-the-counter spot removers. Most are too aggressive and contain some type of bleach. Spotters applied directly to the rug can leave soap residue and cause rapid re-soiling.
