Although we are temporarily closed for routine hygiene and procedures until at least May 8th, we are still taking calls for emergencies. Although we are not currently in the position to see patients in our office we do help our patients get seen by those specialists that are still fully open. Some examples of dental emergencies include trauma to the mouth or jaw, an infection such as an abscess or swelling, a toothache or jaw pain which can't be managed with over-the-counter medications, or bleeding that won't stop. Ormson Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time Dental Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
Back office patient intake (health history, imaging, vitals, documentation)
Patient education
Assisting the doctor during procedures
Cleaning and sterilization
Room setup/takedown
Charting
Patient flow management
Coordination with the hygiene department and front office
The right candidate must be professional, reliable and have:
Minimum 2 years experience as a Dental Assistant
Excellent manual dexterity
Intermediate computer skills
The ability to study and learn quickly
A mastery of dental terminology and procedures
Superior communication and customer service skills
