Do you know if you have dense breast tissue?
According to the National Cancer Institute, nearly 50% of all women age 40 and older have dense breast tissue and may not know it, or if if they do know, may not know exactly what that means.
To put it simply, dense breast tissue, while common, contains more glandular and fibrous tissue which could hinder the appearance of a nodule or an early cancer.
This is why O'Sullivan Radiology performs supplemental screening breast ultrasounds daily to ensure our patients get the most thorough care.
If you have any questions or concerns that your breast may be dense, please contact us by sending a private message on Facebook, sending us an e-mail through our website, or call our office at (361) 572-3139.
