|NO CHALLENGE, NO CHANGE| I started incorporating gymnastics into my workouts about 2 1/2 years ago and it’s been phenomenal for me. I could always push a lot of weight in the gym but I could never control my bodyweight the way I can now. What I’ve learned is that gymnastics has forced me to work on my flexibility, my core strength and my endurance. I suffered from horrible shaving bumps on my face. Also my hairline on the back of my neck is very sensitive and would easily lead to horrible hair bumps. These hair bumps can lead to horrible scarring and keloids on your neck. People of color have an increased propensity to get these hair bumps and keloids due to the coarseness and curling of our hair. Normally we try after shave, alcohol, and other hair bump preventive measures and most are not very helpful. Hair laser removal is a safe and reliable means of removing hair and decreasing hair bumps, scarring and keloids. Unfortunately it is not covered by insurance but it’s worth every penny. It is meant to celebrate a certain group of peoples significant contributions and unthinkable sacrifices that has never been told in depth, and many times suppressed, by this nation’s schools, books, and arts. This month should be a month celebrated for this particular group’s momentous contributions to better this union despite all the obstacles that were faced. I want to congratulate my friend and classmate Tangela Sept on her amazing progress in just 8 weeks after her bilateral knee replacement surgery. She is walking and cycling in her neighborhood. NEW ORLEANS, La. (LANG) - Lt. Col. Steven B. Sumbler was officially robed as the Louisiana National Guard’s military judge during an investiture ceremony at the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate Courtroom at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, Aug. 15, 2020.
Sumbler, a resident of Oakdale, La., is the sixth judge to be appointed since the enactment of the Louisiana Code of Military Justice (LCMJ) in 1974.
“To the JAG Corps family, thank you for supporting me,” said Sumbler. “Without you, I would not be here. I appreciate all that we have done together as a team.”
The Louisiana Military Judge presides over courts-martial of members of the LANG who are charged with offenses under the LCMJ, which parallels the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
