The generosity of our partners is amazing! Heartland Home Health & Hospice, in partnership with Soles for Souls dropped off new sneakers for our Christopher Center residents. They worked secretly with our nurses to get everyone's sizes right.
This is just a small portion of the food we gathered for the Young Vincentians. Dan Kearns was kind enough to stop by and pick it up. We appreciate everyone's generous support of this important ministry.

Our families made small videos for our residents to say Merry Christmas. I compiled them all to create this so I had to watch this over and over and I cried every. single. time!
These are families that haven’t been allowed in our building for 10 months; Families who desperately miss their loved ones and want nothing more than to give them a hug; Families I’ve know for 2-3 years and have missed terribly.
Enjoy your loved ones. Enjoy your time with them. Appreciate every moment you have with the people you love and make sure you tell them how much they mean to you. If 2020 has taught nothing else, it’s that you never know what can happen and people should always know how much you love them.

HCA Va Health System has a great idea, Keep your lights up for Healthcare Heroes. Our healthcare heroes have been fighting this virus for nine months - doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, aids and support staff. They are weary from the physical and emotional toll of what they see every day.
We want them to see the support and gratitude from our communities and our colleagues. That’s why HCA Virginia is participating in the Keep Your Lights Up for Healthcare Heroes campaign during the month of January.
We are asking neighbors, businesses and communities to join us in keeping their holiday lights up through January 31 to recognize those working in healthcare.
As they drive to or from their shift, the holiday lights will express support for our healthcare heroes.

Words of Gratitude
The daughters of Naomi Carter personally thank every nurse upstairs saying how wonderful and compassionate everyone was to their mom. They said from top to bottom they couldn’t have asked for anything better and wanted to pass along their gratitude to everyone. They named Malika, Shelly, Shelia, Tammy, Tiffany and Whitney repeatedly, as well as Dr. Wright and Bre and said they wouldn’t have wanted her anywhere else.
