Thank you for all the great bids on our Angels for the Cure fundraiser. We raised $242.00 to #ENDALZ. Thank you to Mae Cappis, Diane Carvalho, and Nancy Gray!!!
Our residents are the reason for the smile on our faces. This National Assisted Living Week we honor our incredible residents and our ability to serve them. #NALW
Happy Grandparents Day to all of the at wonderful Grandparents at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Our Team might be small but we are "mighty" #ENDALZ
For the past 20 years Our Lady of Perpetual Help has been a sponsor of the Alzheimer's Association. In 2006, we started our "Angels for the Cure" walk team. Alzheimer's and Dementia research is very important to us. We have raised over $194,400.00 for the Alzheimer's Association and we are just getting started.
It was such an honor the day Most Reverend Bishop Knestout came to visit our residents.
No one was more excited the day the NEW Bus arrived, than George, our bus driver. Everyone was all smiles when George took the residents on the inaugural bus ride. The joy rides, lunch outings and trips to the ocean front are all things we can't wait to get back to.
Our front porch is the perfect place to pass a relaxing afternoon, have a family visit and catch up on the latest family news or listen to an entertainer and sip on some freshly made lemonade. Come by and try out our rocking chairs, you won't want to leave.
Our Aging Matters Series has brought some wonderful guest speakers to our community. We have partnered with Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, Virginia Beach Sheriff's Department, AARP, and the Alzheimer's Association, just to name a few.
Community events like the Pet Parade, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Trick or Treat and the Train show/Craft Fair and been great ways for us to connect with our community partners. The residents love when we have visitors.
At Our Lady of Perpetual Help, dining is a special experience. Conversation and socialization with your friends and neighbors, and delicious meals served by our friendly dining team make each meal an event.
Also, our meals are overseen by a registered dietician and we’re happy to accommodate special needs and requests. In addition to the three daily, home-cooked meals, healthy (and tasty) snacks are available throughout the day.
The Reflections Memory Care Program at Our Lady of Perpetual Help offers a fresh perspective on memory care. Specialized training, careful selection of caregivers, and a resident-focused approach are hallmarks of the Reflections program.
Our team incorporates the most up-to-date therapeutic approaches as well as reminiscence, art, music, and pet therapies, and sensory stimulation into daily life. Our goal is to enhance resident engagement, provide opportunities for success based on current abilities, and to build positive relationships among residents, families, and caregivers.
Mr. Leffel is excited to see his granddaughter that is getting married this summer. Awaiting her arrival...
Our sister community, Marian Manor, provides four levels of Assisted Living and they are located on the St Gregory the Great campus approximately ten minutes from us. We work together to provide a full continuum of senior living care for our residents. Should your needs ever increase while living at Marian Manor, you can receive priority admission to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
According to a new study, people who live close to the sea are happier and have better mental health compared those who live inland—so why not come for a visit?
Whether it's Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas (just to name a few), our residents look forward to these and many other annual holidays. We know how important it is to celebrate these happy occasions with festive decorations, music, food, and more. We are always excited to help our residents create new memories with family and friends!
If you or someone you know would like to talk about all the benefits Our Lady of Perpetual Help has to offer, give us a call. We offer Assisted Living, Memory Care and Nursing Care. We're here to provide information, to listen, and to care.
Nothing like a Concert on the Lawn on a Beautiful Friday! Thank you Chuck Mobley!! The residents and staff loved it the music.
Thank you Colleen Stiles and Chris Krueger
from Church of the Ascension for delivering Albums of Hope to our residents this morning. Today is Albums of Hope's day of caring. The albums are pocket-sized albums filled with inspiring photos and quotes.

Fred and Rosa Sunderland celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on October 19, 2020. They were married in Dublin, Ireland. Six years later they moved to Fitchburg, Massachusetts with their 2 children. They had 3 more children and have 7 grandchildren.
Rosa says their secret to marriage is “Fred was never wrong but she (Rosa) was always right!” You need to have a good sense of humor and roll with the punches. You should have great faith in the Lord.
Happy Anniversary Fred and Rosa!
We are blessed to have Pastor Dave!

They are why we do what we do every day. To ALL of the people who love our residents, we say THANK YOU for being so wonderful!
Each day, our staff is dedicated to providing the best care possible to our residents. Nothing gets in the way of our mission!
We are blessed with team members who have worked at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for 5, 10, 15, and 20 years. Staff longevity is just one of the many reasons residents love our community.
It may be raining outside, but inside, it's raining "gift baskets"! We are showing our employees some love and appreciation! Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for your service.
Heavenly Harpsongs, Thank you for filling our community and our hearts with the beautiful sound of music.

Yesterday I was excited to return to therapeutic harping by providing lunch time music from the courtyard at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The windows were opened on this beautiful day in the dining room and patient rooms. The activities director reported "Your playing was such a mood booster for the residents AND staff."
