There’s a natural tendency to jump right into your workout and then head immediately to your car as soon as you’re finished. And who can blame you? Everyone is short on time these days. But if you practice what should be done before your workout and immediately afterwards, you’ll improve your progress and results. After all, working out isn’t easy, so you need to get the most benefits possible out of it! Here are ten things that need to be a part of your fitness routine—five before and five immediately following your workout. Making a resolution to get in shape, lose extra weight, or just become healthier is a good decision—no matter when you do it. But while many people make these type of resolutions January, that’s not really the best time for a new fitness goal. In reality, there’s no science that shows it helps you succeed by starting a new fitness plan on New Year’s. After all, more than 42 percent of people say that they fail to achieve their New Year’s resolution every year. However, research does show if you wait until after the holidays to start working on better health, it can put you at a disadvantage. While January can be a difficult time to start a new fitness goal, autumn is a great time to start. Here are eight reasons why right now may be the best time to start working on your fitness goals. Halloween is fun, but it can also be a little scary! It is often a time in the year when people start to over-indulge and that can sometimes continue through the holidays and the end of the year. Be careful that you don’t start enjoying all those yummy Halloween treats you give out (plus what your kids bring home), and then fall into a downward spiral through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Halloween can make it difficult to eat healthfully if you have a sweet tooth (and most of us do!). So that you don’t down too many Milky Ways, we’ll give you nine strategies to help fight the sugar temptations that come with Halloween. OUTLAWFITCAMP.COM 9 Strategies this Halloween to Overcome Scary Cravings!

Did 2020 derail your fitness plans? Like many, last year was a wrecking ball leaving most of us trying to put the pieces back together. As a result much of what we had planned for last year took a back seat to what needed to get done. If you are planning on putting your fitness goals back on the priority list know that You don't need to take the whole staircase, just focus one step at a time. Start by adding in little by little, maybe it's adding cardio into your routine or planning on a dedicated workout schedule all together. Start with a plan, evaluate each week and see where you can improve. Did you make it to all of your dedicated training sessions/cardio goals? If not this week try and hit it 100% next week. Make it a self challenge to check that off the list. Developing these habits take time, and your body will adjust week by week. It's small steps that lead to big results and consistency is the key towards your success. Interested in talking to a trainer about your specific goals this year?
