"When do I need bunion surgery?" Surgery can be intimidating but it may be what you need if you have bunion pain that is limiting you from enjoying your day to day activities like walking, exercising or playing sports. Early treatments, such as padding, orthotics, and injections can temporarily help with bunion pain but it does not change the structure of the bones. Only surgery can do that.
Hear what our wonderful patient, Lupe, had to say about her experience with minimally invasive bunion surgery with Dr. Tea Nguyen.
Just performed a minimally invasive bunion correction on our wonderful patient. Incision was only 3mm long and no screws are needed. Patient walked right after surgery today without any pain!

Calluses are an important part of your body's defense in protecting itself by forming a hard thick skin in areas of high pressure. When they occur on the foot and is ignored, it can cause serious problems. The underlying skin starts to break down causing a painful open sore. In diabetics, this can lead to infection and amputation. We offer many nonsurgical treatment options so it doesn't come to this. Let us know how we can help you or a loved one prevent calluses. Call us 831-288-3400.
YES we do offer telemedicine appointments!
Hallux limitus is a progressive condition that can cause pain in the big toe with certain movements, like bending, squatting or kneeling. I just spoke with my patient who received a Nudyn injection into this joint, and her response was, "...this treatment has reversed me to a "less frequent pain..." If you would like a nonsurgical option to toe pain, give us a call at 831-288-3400.

I had the most wonderful conversation with a patient who scared himself out of a necessary surgery. Surgeons, are like coaches, we will champion for your well being from beginning to end. Of course you can try all the conservative things by yourself, but if you want to get pain relief faster and have a professional who has over a decade of experience of dealing with hundreds to thousands of foot problems, that's what I'm here for. I'm not just a foot surgeon, I will be YOUR surgeon, from start to finish.
