Paige & Byrnes Insurance is celebrating their 100th year in business this year and I cannot stop to think of how we got here. Over the course of 2021 we will be sharing with you our insight and thoughts of how we have made it to our centennial and even some crazy stories from the insurance world.
It is no secret that the insurance world is a male dominated field. Shelley Taylor certainly breaks this norm as the the first female President of Paige & Byrnes Insurance. I have had the pleasure of accompanying her while on business trips and to customer appointments and no matter where we are she always introduces herself as a Commercial lines Producer (Agent). Being able to work under a woman who represents herself as a humble, strong, accomplished, and a devoted mother is inspiring. She is the type of woman who makes others want to step up their game.

David Taylor is the owner who will help save a baby bird. We had a baby bird fly into one of our windows and David helped us save him. He gathered a box and a dish towel to wrap him in, because it was cold outside. A few hours later the bird flew home. I guess it is fitting that he would be head of the Life & health department.

Being a part of Paige & Byrnes for the past 18 years has been an amazing experience. I don’t know of another employer who is as generous and supportive as these folks. They are not just our bosses, they are our teachers, our coaches, our cheerleaders and our family. John Taylor made the comment the other day that every now and then he adds a little value. That’s funny because the value he brings to this agency in immeasurable. He has taught me so much over the years and always makes time to talk to us. He inspires us to be our best.
