Fire Street Pizza May 13 at 2:41 PM · A little note to our staff this morning, which might give some insight to why we do what we do: ------------------ Good morning Team - just a note for each of you today: "I appreciate you. You are the reason I choose to forge ahead with Fire Street Pizza during this unprecedented time. Last night was a long night of reflecting about my and Alis' own life adventure with you all at FSP. Fact is, every day we wake up a day older, a day with a little less strength and energy and a day wiser and smarter. We can't do this alone and we would attempt to. It's takes a family, locked arm in arm to do what we do with what we have. Running a business is hard. I won't mince words. Running a business in such an uncharted territory as we're in now adds all the more uncertainty of one's future, let alone to carry the weight of the responsibility of our piece of YOUR well being at work can get heavy even for the strongest of people. I applaud everyone out there who chooses to carry that burden and still forge ahead, regardless of the risk and weight. Is what we do glamorous? No. Does it fill you with the wonder that space exploration would? Probably not. When I'm unclogging a septic line, do I question my career path? Every time. However, do I marvel at what we've built together? Do I wonder how our place is so set apart from every other restaurant because it has that intangible energy that only we all can bring? Do take pride when I see each one of you scrubbing the floor like you're trying to win an Olympic sport? Do I bathe in the gratitude when I see you treat each of our customers like they were a world leader? Every damn moment. Each one of you has the capacity to be a powerhouse in anything you choose to do in life. The secret to your success is not in your swagger, nor your skill set, nor your good looks, nor your intellect or wisdom. It's in your hearts, your ethic and tenacity. And I see you all bring it to FSP willingly and in abundance. Is there always room for improvement? Sure. Always. And we all work on that together when needed. But the fact that you CHOOSE to join your energy with ours to push forward and move FSP into new dimensions fills me with renewed energy every day. Chuckle if you wish, but I quote the "Pickle Rick" episode of Rick & Morty: "Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There’s no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is some people are okay going to work, and some people, well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose." And this is why I choose to keep pushing. Because of you. We're going to overcome this COVID thing. We are going to be stronger and smarter on the other side. We will persist. We will become a better version of ourselves every day, with every shift, with every customer. We will prosper together. I don't believe in luck. My grandfather used to say, "We make our own luck." And we're making that luck for each other by bringing the best versions of ourselves to work everyday. I look forward to working along side with each of you this week and serving our community with everything that we've got.” For no better reason than we choose to. - Jason --------------------- On a lighter note, this week is the last Wed, Thurs and Friday that the food truck will be out on Adams Ave from 3-730, so let's fire one up for ya!

Another AMAZING Paramount Wastewater Customer!!! Please help support our local restaurants. La Riv Kitchen & Bar March 19 at 8:52 AM · La Riv is opening its door for families who are struggling. Temple/ BELTON locals have supported my restaurants all this years, so I'm returning the favor. My restaurants are empty and I have extra grocery so I am cooking for y’all if you need it. I have bought extra pasta and making a large batch of marinara sauce and few other items. I will be offering 2 free pasta meals .... if you need more please let me know - the limit is to feed as many people as we can. If you have need for additional please let us know. You don’t have to buy anything at all. Just simply ask! It’s a grab and go service. Please call ahead to so we can get your order ready. No MONEY will be exchanged. Like everyone, I am also struggling, my employees are sitting at home only limited kitchen staff to make your food. But I'm staying positive, I have grocery so I can cook for whoever is in needs. If you wish to support us by placing orders to go for regular menu items please do! We can use your business. Please call the restaurant at 254-231-3661. We open at 12pm everyday!
