Memory Care residents continued on our journey down Route 66. We bid farewell to the Sunflower State of Kansas by creating failure-free sunflower art work that we proudly displayed on our create board. Next stop – Oklahoma! #enlivantroute66
As we travel virtually along Route 66, some of our residents are sharing their memories of road tripping down the Main Street of America. Irene here cruised down Route 66 in 1987 to visit her sister in Albuquerque. She and her crew enjoyed the hot air balloons, great restaurants, and the oldest church in the U.S. along the way. Thanks to Irene and her family for contributing to our #EnlivantRoute66 memory book!

Meet me in St. Louis, Louis, meet me at the fair! Memory Care residents celebrated our travels through Missouri along #EnlivantRoute66 with a World’s Fair themed day! The ice cream cone was invented at the World’s Fair in St. Louis, inspiring our Hearthside Book club with topic of ice cream. Hearthside is an educational book club specifically for individuals in memory care. We also enjoyed inflatable bowling, cornhole, giant connect 4, and an outdoor sing-a-long.
Recently our Memory Care residents participated in another wonderful failure free art project. We put our artistic skills to work creating rainbow hearts.
As we enter Oklahoma on our journey down Route 66, our Memory Care residents had a wonderful time engaging in another failure-free craft. We created Route 66 sun catchers with mason jar rings, baby oil, and paper. We can proudly hang our finished product to catch the sun rays on a beautiful morning in Oklahoma! #EnlivantRoute66

Our Memory Care residents participated in an invigorating game of Pumpkin Bocce. First, each resident selected a color to paint their team pumpkins, then we utilized adapted Bocce Ball rules and a white pumpkin as our pallina ball. Excitement and fun was had by all and definitely got us into the #halloween spirit! 🎃
