Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, we've worked diligently to ensure the safety of all who enter our facility. The continued well-being of those we treat will always be our most sacred responsibility. In the months to come, as flu cases increase, we will remain vigilant, and we encourage all individuals, families, and communities to do the same. We commend our community members for stopping by Healthy Minds to have tough conversations related to mental health. All who participated where able to speak privately with professionals and peers to learn more about how to navigate resources for either themselves or their loved ones.
Together, we can brave the stigma associated with reaching out for help and build healthy & resilient communities!
If you or a loved one may be struggling, remember you are not alone.

We always like to highlight a message of hope or motivation with the information we share here on Mondays. We do this because we know what a challenge it can be to feel inspired and energized as a new week begins. For the millions of people who have ADHD, though, the fight to remain focused and driven isn't limited to one part of one day. In a recent Psych Central article, two ADHD experts described a few fundamental strategies that can make a significant positive difference: http://ow.ly/5BUF102pNyI

As proud sponsors of NAMI Lee, Charlotte and Hendry Counties NAMI Walks Your Way Virtual Walk we are encouraging donations to support NAMI’s no-cost programs and services in their community. Thank you NAMI for all you do to support mental wellness for all!
NAMIWalks Your Way means what it sounds like: participants get to make NAMIWalks their own. You can walk a 5K—through your neighborhood, around your backyard, on your treadmill. Or you can do something else meaningful and fun to celebrate our virtual walk day.
We encourage participants to take photos and videos and share their activities on social media—use the hashtags #NAMILeeCounty, #NAMIWalks_SWFL, #NotAlone, and #MentalHealthForAll—as a way to stay connected. Together, in the difficult times, we can and will prevail.
So join us today as we celebrate NAMI and Mental Health for All!

If you intend to vote in person on November 3, it's important to take a few basic but essential safety precautions. This article contains a wealth of valuable information about protecting your health while voting: http://ow.ly/4f9T102r1Nf

With flu season already here, we encourage you to keep yourself safe by using masks that cover your mouth and nose. Check out the CDC website for some basic pointers for making masks from the comfort of home: http://ow.ly/jusA102qQRu

Putting the people you care about first is an act of selflessness, but it can also keep you from fulfilling your own needs. Make your mental and physical well-being a priority throughout 2021.

Dr. King recognized the power of nonviolence in the fight for racial equality for Black people in the U.S. Today, we honor Dr. King's legacy and his vision for an equitable future.
