Dr. Peter Jahn’Shahi is a leading orthodontist practicing in the Park Slope neighborhood of Park Slope & Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, New York. He provides a wide variety of orthodontic treatments including the orthodontic consultation, Invisalign®, cosmetic braces, Lingual (hidden) braces, removable and fixed retainers, as well as follow-up appointments to ensure and protect his patients’ dental health and smiles.
Dr. Jahn’Shahi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He received the distinction of being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Jahn’Shahi is dedicated to furthering his education and staying up to date with the most modern advances in orthodontics and dentistry. Dr. Jahn’Shahi furthered his education at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and received his certificate in Orthodontics and also completed another research project studying photo-polymerized orthodontic brackets adhesives. His clinical education was particularly enriched by being trained in multiple schools and disciplines in orthodontics due to the privilege of being a student of many distinguished faculty, such as Dr. Andrew Girardot, founder of the first Roth Study Group and the co-founder of the AEO Institute, a world-renowned center for advanced orthodontics education, and also Dr. Charles Alexander, who’s father, Dr. Wick Alexander, has developed the Alexander Discipline, which is also another worldwide acclaimed school of orthodontics.Dr. Jahn’Shahi has been a part time clinical faculty at the New York University Department of Orthodontics since 2008 and he has recently joined the Mount Sinai Department of Dental Medicine in pursuit or serving the underprivileged youth of New York city through the Adolescent Health Center located in East Harlem.

Dr. Jahn’Shahi is focused on treating his patients to provide long-term health and stability of the dentition and chewing system, which is reached by achieving, as closely as possible, nature’s ideal harmony between the teeth, jaw joints, and muscles. He believes that a beautiful and attractive smile is important, but it will not last without the correct integration of form and function of the teeth, jaw, and overall facial structure.
