Parker Paleontological Enterprises is a company operated with science, natural history, and education in mind. We can provide specimens, experiences, and realistic museum-quality replicas to educate and inspire, resurrecting worlds long extinct and placing them in the hands and imaginations of people of all ages. Gil, Tim, and Brian have all been fascinated by and connected with geology, paleontology and natural history since childhood. Let us tell you a little about ourselves!
Gilbert Parker has nearly five decades of paleontological field and laboratory experience and a degree in B.S. degree in zoology majoring in paleontology and geology. He has collected fossils from a great variety of fossiliferous rock formations in the western half of the United States. He is currently “retired” and spends much of his time as a volunteer fossil preparator in the Dino Lab in Science City at the Kansas City Union Station when he is not pouring and painting casts or presiding over meetings the Kansas & Missouri Paleontological Society or chairing a position for Kansas City Gem & Mineral Show.
Tim Parker, Gil’s son, has been participating in fossil excursions since before he could walk or talk. Tim studied vertebrate paleontology under Dr. Larry Martin at the University of Kansas. He holds a computer science and electrical engineering degree from The University of Missouri. Tim’s paleontological specialties are mold-making and casting, micro-preparation, and chemical preparation techniques.
Brian Parker, Gil’s son, has been participating in fossil excursions since childhood. Brian studied history and geology at the University of Missouri. Brian’s paleontological specialties are mold-making and casting, micro-preparation techniques.
