About

Dr. Jean Larsen
Jean attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for a BA in biology. Until college, she dreamed of being a professor, but a prerequisite science class caused her to fall in love with science. She began volunteering in shock trauma every Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM the next morning, but knew medicine wasn’t for her, so she switched to working for a local dentist and was amazed at how he interacted with his patients. She wanted to deliver the same level of care. While attending dental school at NYU, she worked in many outreach programs and participated in a faculty practice that treated patients outside of the educational setting. It was at NYU that she met Jason.

She loves the rewarding profession of dentistry—she can transform a life by transforming a smile. Her favorite part of dentistry is when a happy patient says, “Wow, I didn’t know my smile could look like that!” Jean was born in China and has lived in Germany and Canada. She is a member of the ADA, AGD, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

Dr. Jason Larsen
Jason earned his undergraduate in neuroscience and behavior from the prestigious Columbia University in 2004 before attending NYU for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduating in 2010. He continues his education as often as possible, taking courses on CAD/CAM and endodontics, and advanced courses on dental implants. Jason is Level 2 certified in oral sedation. He is a member of the ADA and AGD. He enjoys the problem-solving side of dentistry, and handles the complex cases, such as extractions and root canals.

Family is very important to Jason and his wife, Jean. When not caring for patients’ smiles, he loves watching football with his family (Go, Vikings!), walking the dog, building computers, working out with P90X, watching movies, and playing soccer and golf.

History will remember 2020 for its many stress inducing challenges. One memory that we will hold is witnessing an increase in incidence of cracking teeth due to grinding; what we call the "Covid-Clench.” That's the bad news. The good news is that with our in-office scanning technology, we can craft a custom, made-to-order oral appliance that fits perfectly, protects your teeth and contributes to a more restful night’s sleep. If the "COVID Clench" is now part of your nightly routine, we invite you to make an appointment to visit the office for an exam and assessment.
