Dr. Bellows is a native Houstonian. She received her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Davidson College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society. She went on to receive her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. During medical school she published multiple papers in leading journals and was given awards for Outstanding Student Researcher, as well as Outstanding Medical Student in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine and served as chief administrative resident in her senior year. During residency she received the Arthur M. Faris research award for her work on Vaginal Delivery After Cesarean (VBAC). Other awards during residency include Intern of the Year, Best Resident in the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Best Resident by the Department of Midwifery and the Baylor College of Medicine Resident Professionalism award.She enjoys taking care of women at every stage, from adolescence through menopause. Specific interests include general and high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Bellows is fluent in Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys ballet, needlepoint and spending time with her family.
