Situated on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee, this legacy homestead was conceived to meet the indoor-outdoor-living needs of a very large and active family, all while maintaining a classic New England aesthetic.
Taking inspiration from agrarian structures erected by the Amish for generations, this new post-and-beam building looks as if it dates back to the same period as the main house it accompanies. Inside is a generous multi-purpose space for both family play and large scale entertaining.

Congratulations to @jafridi in Naperville, IL for winning the FHF Friday Contest! Heather’s question for Patrick was, “Would love to hear thoughts from Patrick on what to consider when thinking about purchasing an historic home for renovation. Is it typical to engage an architect before purchase to see what’s possible (perhaps alongside a contractor)? What’s the best way to assess if ideas are possible before making a big purchase decision?”
Watch the video to hear about Patrick’s recommendations on what to consider before purchasing a home to renovate. Follow us on Instagram to participate in our FHF Contest for a chance to ask Patrick a question of your own and win a signed copy of our book, Timeless.
