Dr. Bauer received his Master’s degree from the University of Louisville and graduated Magna Cum-Laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville. While a resident, Dr. Bauer was honored with the K. Armand Fischer Award and Gerhard Kuntscher Award as most outstanding teaching resident. Dr. Bauer has had presentations with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, including a paper at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Bauer has a publication regarding Manganous Ion Uptake in Oral Streptococci. He is board certified and served as Chief of Surgery at Clark Memorial Hospital for two years.
