Today's spotlight is on EAST TEXAS METAL Creations! Ron Wiseman is a local artist living in Woodlawn, Texas with his wife Patty and creme lab, Cutter. After retirement from U.S. Steel, he put his welding and artistic abilities to use by re-purposing used Freon tanks to make all kinds of animals for garden, patio or anywhere in the house. He makes them into planters or piggy banks, as well as solid pieces. Special orders are welcome, so if you have a favorite sports team, he is glad to custom make a piece for you. He does pigs, chickens, peacocks, longhorns, razorbacks, cows, etc. Give him an idea of what you want and he can create it. He's even done a frog!

Today's spotlight is on Patty Wiseman Fan Page, a local author with several awards! Author Patty Wiseman is the President of East Texas Writer’s Association in Longview, Tx. A native of Seattle, Washington, she moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma after high school to attend The Wesleyan College. After college she moved to Northeast Texas, where she met and married her Texas born husband, Ron. After a twenty-five-year career as an administrative assistant to a financial professional, she retired, and is finally living her dream. Her children are grown and pursuing their own dreams and she has settled into the writing life with gusto. Eight books are published with another due to be released next month. She’s accumulated multiple awards and enjoys mentoring new writers. An avid history buff with a weakness for a good riddle, her books will keep you riveted as you try to solve the mysteries and are swept away with the romance.

Composing a query letter or a synopsis? Here's a tip for you.
Be sure you define the protagonist's “quest” and what the protagonist is trying to do. Give us the “spine” of the plot.
Food for thought when deciding on which genre you should market your book. Is it a mystery or a suspense. Here's a little help.
Mystery: the hero is tasked with finding the truth related to an event at the beginning of the story, usually a murder.
Suspense: With a goal to create uncertainty, the reader is usually aware of the potential danger before the hero.
